Dr. is now sending me to a lung Dr. because the tach. isn't coming from my heart, something else is causing it.
I have unexplained coughing, shortness of breath, very low blood pressure, 102/60, heart rate is 58 but can go to 90 just climbing up the stairs, chest pains, lightheaded, nauses, sometimes it feels like a head rush, and I'm tired all the time.
I do have MS, however, I do know the difference between what is going on NOW.
I'm worried about PE after reading the question submitted :"what effect would a pulmonary embolism have on pressure within the cardiovascular system?"
It's hard because I'm a very active person and the smallest thing sends my heart rate up. Sometimes I'm afraid to go to sleep.
Could this indeed be PE? Thanks

The doc is sending you to a pulmonary doc to see if maybe your lungs may be the culprit. By giving you proper respiratory treatment that could help take care of ur tachycardia (fast heart rate)

Tachy is an irregular FAST heart beat. I have Bradycardia which is SLOW, due to high blood pressure and a thickening of the heart wall as a result. The Tachy can be for many reasons. Let the specialists do thier thing. Worrying and being anxious won't help one bit and may even aggravate it.
Best wishes

the doctor probably is just sending you on to the pulmonary doc for another opinion....as for the low bp its not that bad...my daughters runs that low or lower all time....I run in the lower 50s as to heart rate...reason for the tiredness is probably due to the lower rate is what I was told....those that have high rates tend to be hyper type people....the heart cath just showed you had no blockages going on in your vascular system/heart...
Seems like your doc is doing things right for you, checking everything out....being anxious is not going to help you
