Thank you:
Heath.. :: sowing seeds of humour in honesty;
ED SN.. :: introducing an apt delusional demon viewpoint to the main stream definitions;
cain.., Myse.., Teddy.. :: alternative view points with one too many a pint.
Tavit.., papa.., justm.., Lady.., Crist.., RICK.., ManoG.. :: illustrating the various interpretations. One suspects Grim.. knows almost more than is lead to believe.

Logos is a difficult word to translate exactly into english. But I will do my best. It is the thoughts, desires, intent, purposes, and heart of God. It is the communicated logic and understanding of God and his wisdom. It is the truth without bias and is justice in it's purest form. It is the love of god in his words and thoughts.
Sadly that is about as close as I can get. The only other word of similar meaning is Rhema which basically means declaration or statement and is equally as difficult to describe properly.

The term “word” in the Scriptures most frequently translates the Hebrew and Greek words da‧var′ and lo′gos. These words in the majority of cases refer to an entire thought, saying, or statement rather than simply to an individual term or unit of speech. (In Greek a ‘single word’ is expressed by rhe′ma [Mt 27:14], though it, too, can mean a saying or spoken matter.) Any message from the Creator, such as one uttered through a prophet, is “the word of God.” In a few places Lo′gos (meaning “Word”) is a title given to Jesus Christ.
In the Christian Greek Scriptures “the Word” (Gr., ho Lo′gos) also appears as a title. (Joh 1:1, 14; Re 19:13) The apostle John identified the one to whom this title belongs, namely, Jesus, he being so designated not only during his ministry on earth as a perfect man but also during his prehuman spirit existence as well as after his exaltation to heaven.

The principles governing existence, which for an Atheist will exclude the supernatural, or any unproven deity or creation legends. Life is disposed to exist, because we are here. That`s it, no magic, no excuses, no lies. Science can answer the technical details, religion feeds the selfish and naive.

Logos means the word. The WORD to me is Jesus the Christ. I have no denomination because it is God himself who saves and not a man made denomination. Shalom

I seriously think of legos lol...but in a more serious sense it means "word"/Jesus. As a Muslim, to me it means "absolute truth." In Greek it means "the way it is." Because I don't think of Jesus as divine or the son of God I have come to use it as another way of saying absolute truth, or an esoteric meaning. Peace.
