Yes your body is ridding its self of all the inflamation and mucus that acuumilated in your lungs...The medicine you were taking was to loosen and break up that mucus. When it starts to come up into your throat that is when you are throwing up.This is a good sign.Pneumonia is very dangerous and carries a lot of inflammation with it,so by you throwing up that is a very healthy thing for you at this time...You are on your way to recovery.

Unless the pnemonia has a symptom that causes upset stomache's. I would discontinue the medication they put you on!! Oh, and to avoid having to see the doctor next time, our whole family swears by these remedies: Use vicks on your chest and under your nose, and wear very warm clothing when the vicks is on...... Drink lots of water to flush out all of your bodies toxins, and clear fluids, but dont eat anything, until your feeling much better.....just take that time to detoxify your body!!! If you have too, get you a humidifier and fill it with purified water, and Vicks, and place it in one small room in your house and or sit at the table with it , with a towel over your head, and your head facing the humidifier, for oh about 10 minutes or so, and get lots of rest!! We have so many family members who have never gone to the doctor for pnemonia, and used these Home Remedies, and got rid of it faster than people who go to the doctor and take all of their toxic medications!!! Kid you NOT!!! By the way, in the 60s, my Aunt didn't know of the families Home Remedies it was years later we all came up with it, but she was in the middle of the whole town crowding the hospitols with pnemonia, and she had it too, she was scheduled to get in to see a doctor on a Thursday, and died, on the Tuesday before from pnemonia.. She was my father's twin sister, how sad , hoh? There's so many ways to prevent from having to go to the doctor and from having to take medication at all !!! Hope you get to feeling better really soon!! Smile!!!
