Other than the obvious. I mean, what is the difference in the result?

Warm mist is for summer allergies and dry skin and cool mist is for winter allergies and dry skin problems in the winter.

It used to be that doctors would recommend warm air vaporizers. But I have been told that now the recommended trend is to use cold air vaporizers. I am not sure of the reasons but personal experience has told me that cold air vaporizers are the way to go.
