I have an infant son, and have noticed that since the leak has gotten worse, he's steadily had the sniffles, and I've been sneezing a lot too. I'm also highly allergic to many things including dust, so I wouldn't be surprised if my baby were too. Also, does exposure to mold/mildew cause Asthma? If so, could I have a case if my baby or I develops asthma because of the mold?

Mold can be very dangerous to children as well as adults. As far as the landlord you could contact code inforcement in your area. they will come and inspect the property and will issue the owner/agent a fine as well as an order to fix the problem. You could also write a letter to the landlord in which you give them 30 days to fix the problem or your going to move ( this is called a 30 day notice to cure) good luck.
