Well, let me say it does help the mating process, for one;)
Cleanliness is both more pleasant to the senses of your peers, as well as less likely to breed and spread disease than dirtiness, in my opinion.
If others say your odor resembles some sort of french cheese or Rosie O'Donnells toilet, then I would seek out the soap aisle in your local Target store;)
