3 years is the usual shelf life. If you have tablets sitting around at home not being used, please return them to the pharmacy for disposal. If you have to take them again you can get a new prescription;

There should be an expiry date on the pack they came in. The shelf life is normally 2/3 years.

I suppose it depends how long the supplier has had it too, as well as use by date on pack. Ive been on it for over two years and I hate it. It stops the inflammation in my lungs, but Ive gained 5 stones in weight.

it depends on how long youve been taking this steriod for at what dosage and whether you were weened of it by having your dose reduced dailly but when my sons asthma is bad and they take it 80mg for 10 days then reducing over the next 2 weeks it can still take a further 14 days to get out of their system
