I mean, you're supposed to either love or hate it, but does anyone just sit on the fence about Marmite?

Don't know about 'sitting on the fence' but I think Marmite is ok. I've got several small jars of it in my pantry along with an open half-used jar in my fridge. Why do I maintain a stock of Marmite since I 'just think it's ok'? Because Vegemite is illegal here in the US!

To all y'all wondering what Marmite (or for that matter Vegemite) are... They are highly nutritious pastes made from yeast extracts. Marmite is available at many grocers, health food stores and (of course) Amazon.com. Marmite (to me anyway) tastes a little like bacon but since I've not eaten bacon in over 50 years I may be wrong.

Nope, 'fraid not. I'm in the "Love It" camp! It's the only thing I actually consider taking on holiday with me. when I'm abroad I make a point of not buying "British" food etc, but I rather like to have a small pot of Marmite wherever I'm staying in case I want a quick Marmite sandwich!
It has such a strong, individual taste that it's understandable why it has a love/hate reputation. It would be difficult just to be ambivalent about it.

No, I hate the stuff even down to the texture !! If hubby asks for toast with marmite the toast is made (easy job) but he is given the marmite jar and a knife !!

Not sit on the fence exactly. Some days I love it, then I'll eat too much of it and won't be able to stand the sight of it for months. So I always have strong feelings about it, they just change a lot.

I am on the fence about it; I am still getting used to the taste of Marmite on toast.

I am kind of. See, I LOVE the taste of it, but I HATE the smell of it. Marmite's bad smell takes away from the experienceof eating it.

I've never tried it, so I searched a couple of sites and read about it, it seems to be the British version of Blackstrap Molasses or Sorghum...ya like or ya don't...don't think you'll find too many fence sitters on this one.

Yep fence jammed up my butt, It is O.K. for a quick snack when I can't be bothered to stick something in the microwave, otherwise it just sits in the cupboard.
