I've had high blood pressure for about 25 years and tinnitus occasionally occurs when the pressure is high. I use this as an indication to measure my b.p. There are several drugs to treat hypertension. The first thing to do is to determine if your salt intake is too high and if it is eliminate high salt contributors from your diet. Experts advise that your daily intake should not exceed 2300 Mg's (about 1 tsp). If lowering salt does not correct the problem you can move upward with another medication. Good luck.
