I suspect that my stopping with a diuretic may have been the cause of a heart clog I had a few weeks afterwards.

Hey i m not a doc but i think it is better to stop them slowly rather than abruptly

you shouldn't be weaning yourself off any meds...you need to discuss this with your doctor and if it is advisable to stop the med follow the directions given to you...are you taking a diuretic because of heart failure,because your extremities are edematous or for high blood pressure...and if the med is stopped the effects it was clearing up can return quickly
