Carbs are also know as carbohydrates and generally every food has them, the key is not eating too much of them. Look on the back of a food box with the nutrition information and you will see how many carbohydrates are contained in 1 serving.

Most of the food groups contain carbohydrates.
It's reccomended that 55% - 70% of your diet is composed of carbs.
There are two types: simple and complex.
Simple carbs give you a jolt of energy but die down quickly because the body burns them. Ie - sugar high.
Complex carbs are stready and found in fruits, for example.
Also, fiber is considered a carbohydrate. You need 25 g fiber/day. Though you don't injest the fiber, it gives you water, minerals and help with digestion/elimation.
The foods you can find them in are:
bread, spaghetti, cakes, pop [which has about 11 teaspoons of sugar!], fruits, vegetables/veg. skins, etc.
The only stuff without carbs are protein rich foods generally.

Starchy ones, or things made from flour. Milk, too.
If you're looking for the 15 grams thing for each carb serving, read the label on the food. It is listed.

Foods contain protein, fat and carbs.
Only carbs will raise your blood sugar.
Please make an appointment with a dietitian so she can explain things to you.
You can also look on line.
Good luck.
