Actually if your Testing your Blood Sugars you must be a Diabetic. Since your asking I would presume you're not. Your Doctor or Care giver if you were a Diabetic would have instructed you on how to and what to do in case your Blood Sugar went High over your set guideline. Presuming you're not (A Diabetic) you need to cut down you're calorie intake and mix any sugar intake with the meals you eat and your snacks. Even without Diabetes too much sugar is not good. Choose another snack besides a Twinkies and Coca cola, try celery, carrots and Dried Toast. It doesn't sound to good but to me as a Diabetic 1 for 43 years a Twinkies doesn't sound to good neither. Exercise, do it now if you test high (620). If you wait 1/2 hour it might be higher (Blood Sugar) and there is no such thing as exercising twice as hard, and with a Diabetic !, you could only be twice as dead before the next test. Call your Doctor if you are a Diabetic and get it resolved, Now.

It depends on how high it is. The first line treatment for high blood sugar or hyperglycemia is diet and exercise along with life style modifications such as decreasing fat intake, carbohydrate intake, sugar intake, stopping smoking and alcohol use. If this does not work the next treatment would be to add an oral medication such as glucophage (metformin) which is a biunguinide, or a sulfonylurea medication. If this does not work to lower blood glucose then insulin is the last treatment.

depends on how high ... borderline high .... you can try to use cinnamon capsules (a lot easier than trying to sprinkle enough cinnamon on all your food) I started using it and it has lowered the numbers mine were just over 100 and they're down to about 60/70 now. It also helps to limit white - bread / rice and potatoes, starches can sometimes add to blood sugar as well as sweets. be careful of drinks - since most are sweetened, skip those lattes and cappaccinos ... hope you find what works for you too

If you aren't on diabetic meds, then just lower carbs and exercise. Drinking water may help too. Some people take chromium and cinnamon to lower blood sugar levels. The important thing is to avoid high levels by reducing carbs and exercising.

glucophage, or insulin.
Balance the carbs in the diet, and exercise both help fom raising the sugar too high.
