you can still transmit herpes to others if you have lesions. please use protection! that being said, if your partner has genital herpes they likely can't get it orally, but when you have active lesions it's recommended not to engage in unprotected sexual activities of any kind.

Herpes can be transferred from the vagina to the mouth and the mouth to the vagina. So if you are having an outbreak in either place do not have oral sex and you should not let your partner perform oral sex on you if you have lesions. If you use a dental dam or non-microwaveable saran wrap that will provide protection. However it is better to avoid sex when there is a breakout. Good Luck!

You can't allow your girlfriend to go down on you, and if so use dental dam. Make sure you don't have oral herpes, otherwise you will not be able to go down on her either.
Maybe you can use a double dildo but make sure you stay with the same side of the dildo.
