I went to my doctor this past month, and I got all the regular testing. They called me a few days later and told me that I tested positive for herpes--though I tested negative for type I and type II. The thing is, I have only ever been with one guy sexually (in any form) and I've been with him since May. He said he was tested and all was clear. I have not had an outbreak or anything. I talked to my friend yesterday (who is a pre-med major) and she said that if I had the HPV virus, it would show up in my testing as herpes but not as type I or type II. She said she saw a documentary on it and they said since this virus is so new, most doctors can't tell the difference. But when I try to research it, all the websites say they are two different things. Is this true? What websites can I trust to be true?

It could be the oral conception of herpes..which 3 out of the 4 population in the united states has that don’t even know it. What the oral conception of herpes is herpes in the mouth..such as cold sores. Some people has out breaks and others doesn’t. The oral conception is transferred. .mouth to mouth contact, drinking , eating off another person you can get it. But its nothing you should be worried about. So many people that go get tested and ends of positive for it that doctors don’t even tell them because it so common, and they dont want to worry people.

I've had herpes for approximately 6 years. It can be actually not as enormous of a deal as some folks will make it out to be. It's a contagious epidermis condition with a negative stigma. Which you could have most effective genital herpes or best oral herpes, one of the common signs of herpes is having flu like signs it might occur with each types of herpes. Mainly the primary escape is the worst and most ache full then wreck outs most likely get less sever over time. The snap shots on the web are the worst instances, some people most effective have slight wreck outs and a few humans do not need symptoms or ruin outs. Now what... You could have herpes, it is now not the top of the world. That you could still do all you wish to have to along with your lifestyles. Herpes mustn't affect your existence all that so much. The only thing is it could actually make courting a bit elaborate, not one and all can accept a associate that has herpes however some one will be capable to like and take delivery of you. Some persons do not see having herpes as a large deal breaker. Alas we are not able to inform you what's going to happen subsequent, the future is difficult to foretell. You will get future ruin outs or you may now not get a different get away, all depends upon your immune approach and how healthy it's. It's no longer common but genital herpes can lead to oral herpes. In the event you contact a get away down stairs then with in seconds touch your mouth. Or in the event you let a partner offer you oral sex even as you have got a escape.

If you don't have 1 or 2, you probably have herpes 3. Did you have chicken pox as a child? Just like the others in the herpes family, herpes 3 is a virus you are stuck with for life; however, it is not sexually transmitted. It can become reactivated into a case of the shingles (herpes zoster).

There's a difference between Herpes, also known as HSV, and HPV - Human Papillomavirus Virus.
I have never heard of anybody got tested positive for Herpes but negative for HSV-1 and HSV-2.
There are only those two types of Herpes and that's it. So there's gotta be something wrong.
You should call the doctor's office and try to talk to one of the nurses and ask them about it because nobody on here can really tell you what's going on.
You should check out this website about information about HSV and HPV
http://www.cdc.gov/std/default.htm
Yes, they are two totally different STD's.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

herpes has nothing to do with HPV. I've had HPV for 2 years, the only thing associated with HPV is genital warts. Which not everyone that has HPV gets warts there's so many kinds. Same with herpes, there's alot of different kinds. If I were you I'd go in and get a pap test done again. and talk with your dr.

I want to punch that girl in the face who responded first!!!! Errrrrr!!! I would just relax, it could be the chicken pox virus that is remaining in your system. What I would do is wait 2 months get tested again. Herpes is new and a lot of dr. don't know what they are talking about.
