Lipgloss isn't a preventative for ANYthing, except maybe chaped lips! In fact there isn't ANYthing, over the counter OR prescribed, that you can put on your lips as protection from std's, mono, trench mouth, cold sores, flu, bad colds, etc.....unless condoms for facial lips get invented!

it is hard to catch anything by kissing. But those that you can catch that way can still be caught if you stuck 10 pounds of crap on your lips. It is the spit from kissing that transfers the disease.

uh...YEAH!! Lipgloss does nothing to kill bacteria or viruses. Purely cosmetic. If you are actually asking this question, then you don't really need to be kissing anyone.

Uh, yeah. The lip gloss is purely for decoration, and becomes totally obsolete when you stick your tongue in their mouth anyway.
