I ran out of 3 of my prescriptions and Pharmacy said Dr. wouldn't fill them until I had an appt. with him again. I can't get to town hardly at all. he would not give me my Cymbalta. my liquid medicine for my breathing machine for C.O.P.D, and my synthroid medicine for my thyroid. My appt. is another 3 days away. Pharmacy says no! Not even a few till then. Will I die? Hospital is too far away and can;t afford amblents, no insurance.

No you will not die! Forget that....Its really not that easy to die, trust me on this...You do need your medication , and 3 days isn,t that long, worrying about it is the worst thing you could do,it will just make matters worse...This should teach you a valuable lesson though, always make sure you keep up to date on your medication...the worst thing that could happen is you could have a flair up with your COPD , which might cause you some discomfort.but you still will not die....Oh don,t worry about an ambulance,if you were to have to call one they have no choice but to come to your aide, plus in ememceny situations a hospital has to take you insurance or no insurance, its against the law for them not too....Just relax and go see your doctor in three days and don,t let this happen again...

You've put alot of stumbling blocks in your way so you can't get your medication. Hospital too far away? No bus, no friends, relatives with a car to take you? It seems that if you were aware of your difficulty in getting meds in the first place, you would make all your dr. appointments. As a nurse, I know that most doctors will call in prescriptions if a client misses 1 appointment. It seems you may have missed more than your share of appointments with the doctor. Get to the hospital, call an ambulance if you have to for your breathing issues before it becomes a crisis. Then, keep on top of your medication needs like a responsible adult.
