a friend quit although they have high cloresterol and lipid measurements. if said why? it gets my theighs she said. later i discontinued taking mine to experiment and found it helped my leg strentgh. but i resumed taking them as doc insisted (heart bypasses and diabetic) and now my arms and legs are weaker and sore most of the time. it is a *****. comments?

+ i am not taking lipitor. it costs to much and i take gemfibrozil (generic?). much cheaper. why should there be any difference? don't the generics formulated with the exact same molecular structure? isn't that federal law?

ive been on lipitor for a year now and have had no side effects...shortly after starting i was getting some muscle pains but wasnt sure if it was the med or the aerobics class i started...called my doc and she had some blood work drawn and everything was fine.....you need to see the doc and they need to order some blood work to check certain things or maybe you need a different med to help the cholesterol
