My ex and i are having a little bet, I said it costs up to 250 at most.

$800 usd, no way. $250 usd still sounds way too high. Your doctor isn't a god that you have to sacrafice riches to just to be in his/her presence.

It totally depends on the panels being done. The last time I was checked sometime ago - which included the usuals (chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis), as well as herpes, hepatitis (A,B,C), and HIV, ran about a 1200. The follow ups done a few weeks later we a few hundred more....
You might be forgetting that with women, they have to do a lot of slides, a lot of culturing, and blood work to do...in large part because a lot of STD's in women are asymptomatic (they dont have symptoms - in men, if you dont have symptoms of a disease that produces them in men, they dont bother doing the test)
Western Blots (the blood work for antibodies) are expensive!

Whatever you owe her on the bet - pay up.

I would say she is more on the correct side. Lab tests is the costs she is thinking of, and they can be very expensive plus the doctor's visit. Usually it's 200 just to do a regular complete blood count!

no my sister works for the health department and std test are 100% free at your local clinic

they don't do all tests for free. i'm pretty sure the major stds cost a lot to get tested for.

Go to the health unit they go by your income. Depending on what you have to pay. Some people don't have to pay anything.
