My husband’s heart has been hurting for some time now almost two weeks. (We all have told he to take his *** to the hospital) He just started taking Bayer and the first time he took them he took 12 of them all at one time. Crazy right! He told me he can feel it, what every that means. He smokes a pack a day. He’s 38 and drinks on top of that. The worst part is that he thinks it GAS. Please how can I get him to the Hospital before it’s to late?

It could be something other than heart trouble but perhaps you can convince him to see a regular doctor tomorrow. Tell him they can help him with his indigestion/gas/digestion/discomfort/whatever is making him feel bad so that he doesn't have to have that pain anymore. Then they can tell him at doc office if he has serious problem and needs to go right to the ER.

If you think it is serious in the meantime, tell him they can help with any kind of acute pain when the doc office is closed and it doesn't have to be life threatening.

You can always try playing the guilt card, too--that he is making yo worry and you would feel better if he would just indulge you and go for your sake.

Best of luck. God bless.

Shay,
He had the right idea but he took too many Bayer aspirin. Actually a person who is having a possible heart attack and takes a Bayer aspirin has a greater chance of surviving than someone who just does nothing. Bayer is a blood thinner and will help. He edfinitely needs to goto the doctor. Men are the worst about ignoring symptoms and saying it's just gas. I may well be but heart attacks can mimic indigestion. The ONLY definitive test to determine if a person has a heart attack is blood work. He could have had a mild attack and not know it. You should strongly urge him to go to the doctor. If he just won't then lay the guilt trip on him. Tell him that you and the kids need him and that you think you deserve better than for him to just take this attitude and then die on you. Good luck.

He needs to get to the hospital, right away. My father was like that. He didn't go to the hospital. We even called the cops and 911 a few times, but he wouldn't go. Then, one morning, Mom went to wake him up. He didn't wake up. He was dead.
Try this with your husband. Ask him if he has life insurance
on himself. He'll either say "NO, why?" "Yes, why ?" or "I don't know. Why?". If he doesn't say those, he might say something else smart a**.
Just tell him you need to know so you can start making plans
because you think he's going to die pretty quick, if he doesn't go to the doctor to get checked out.
Then say, "Honey, I love you. I'd miss you if you weren't here.
I know you care about me and would want me to go to the doctor if I was sick. (If he doesn't omit this part). But, I respect your decision on not wanting to go and wanting to die early. That's why I need to start figureing out what I'm going to do when you die."
Then say. "Would you mind if I got married to someone else after you die ?

My husband went to the doctor right away after I used that line on him.

If your man still refuses to go...try this one last thing...pack a suitcase for yourself....then say "Ok, I guess you don't love me if you want to die and leave me alone sooner than necessary. SO, I guess I'd better get used to being without you." Then walk out the door and slam it. Go stay at a friend's, a relative's, or a hotel or motel. It may take a day or two, but he'll come around, if he loves you.

my granddad had (he is gone) heart problems, he didn't go to a doc till he had his first heart attack. Keep taking bayer, do not take more that recommended this may cause dependency. Try telling him made up stories about your friends family and thier heart problems, trying to scare him into seeing a doctor

Tell him if waits until he is sure it is a heart attack , if he lives, he will be on drugs that kill the sex drive, and he won't be able to drink. If he goes now before a heart atatck and has angioplasti , he will be out the next day and all will be normal.

He isn't going to make it through the year. If you have kids, he might be charged with intential suicide attemtps and locked up in a mental hospotal. I think you should speak to the DA police and to a mental facoility adns say he ssems to want to kill himself.

Talk to his Dr. IMMEDIATELY and ask him/her EXACTLY what steps you should take!

If he has sharp, consistent pains....CALL AN AMBULANCE IMMEDIATELY.

Men are usually stubborn when it comes to seeing a Dr.

This type of negligent behavior was responsible for the deaths of at least 2 of my uncles.

Call an ambulance if he won't go himself. Or find a doctor who will come by and do a house call.
