Can a male that's HIV+ have healthy children?

Theoretically he could, but:

In order to conceive a child, he would have to ejaculate into a female. Though his sperm fertilizing an egg would not make the child HIV+, ejaculating inside the mother could easily infect her. In turn, if the HIV + mother took the experimental drugs they have now to prevent transmission from mother to child, their child could be born HIV -. However, the baby could also very easily contract HIV from her at birth. Then again, what two people would bring a child into the world that is set to become an orphan?

It is highly unlikely although there is a small chance. If a man is HIV positive then in order to successfully get a woman pregnant he will have to have unprotected sex and consequently, infect the female with the virus. One or two things can occur. The first is, the baby will drop his mother's immune system, or the baby will be born with the virus.

My advice to you is if you are HIV positive, to consider adoption because the chance of your child being born w/o HIV is pretty unlikely and it would be selfish to try and reproduce regardless of how the child will have to have that virus for his entire life.
