I am the only one who wont be at the birthday party for my Dad, so I thought I could buy the cake, any suggestions on how or what to do?, I could pay for it and sisters could pick it up?? Help

Wal-mart makes very good cakes you could check with them. I can't believe I am recommending any one to go there.

Find out which bakery he likes, get in touch with them and explain to them the situation. Speak to a manager if you have too. Then order the cake like you would flowers. Or you could send a cookie bouquet. Just see if they will take a credit card over the phone.

If you go to www.foodnetwork.com there is a show called Food Finds that features places that ship beautiful specialized birthday cakes. May be a bit pricey...but they're always really nice and tasty, too. Happy Birthday to your dad.
