I have tightness in chest while exersizing. This is pretty normal for me, I've never really exersized much. I'm really just lazy. I'm wondering if its just that i'm out of shape and thats why I have tightness in my chest or if it is asthma. I've never had an asthma atack. Is it just low lung capacity from lack of exersize??

You didn't mention your age, so it could be ANY of the things you mentioned; deconditioning (being out of shape) is the most probable cause, but SOMETHING is keeping you from getting adequate oxygen intake for the level you're excercising at. It could just be that you're not breathing correctly. You need to make sure that you're blowing out ALL the oxygen you take in (some people unconsciously hold their breath or breathe in "fits and starts" when they strain during exercise). Always breathe IN through your nose and OUT through your mouth, this helps to keep you from "swallowing" air and causing gas buildup, which may contribute to the chest "tightness" you feel. See your physician to rule out any physical causes for this.
