If you don't play any type of quarters, you are missing out. There is pound, the hardcore professional version with five cups and two teams of one or two players each.
A good game for parties where no one really knows how to play quarters is speedquarters--sit everyone in a circle at the table, get two cups and two quarters. If you make a cup, pass it to the next person, if you miss, try again. Pick a way to reverse the cups--rule option A is you pass the cup backward if you make it on the first try, option B is that after you make it, instead of passing you can try to make a second shot in a row to reverse (if you miss, you have to make another quarter to pass). If the same person has both cups, they lose. Someone should then spin a quarter on the table--the loser has to drink the whole time the quarter is spinning (and everyone is allowed to help keep the quarter spinning and on the table).

Try "Drinking Jenga". Buy a Jenga set (or a generic version to save money) and write instructions on some of the blocks. The person pulling the block from the tower does whatever it says. The person who topples the tower has to slam a FULL drink, not what's left in his/her glass. I've played with people many times and had a ton of fun.

Spoons
This is a easy game and simple with four people get three spoons and all four of the 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s, from a deck of cards. Mix the card and deal them. the dealer says pass and you pass one card to the left and the first person to get there all the same cards grabs a spoon and does everybody else and the person without a spoon takes a shot. you have to be quick.

Zoom, schwartz, pfigliano is a good old one.
One person starts and must act. To engage another participant, you look at them and say "Zoom", they must respond.
That person can respond to you by looking at you and saying "Schwartz", or looking at somone else and saying "Pfigliano" - both of those responses returns to action to the you, think of "Pfiglano" as a head-fake "Schwartz", or that person can look at someone complete different and "Zoom" them.
People drink when - they zoom someone they are already engaged with, they look at someone new and say "Schwartz", they look at someone they are already engaged with and say "Pfigliano", or someone new responds to a "Pfigliano", or if someone is too slow in their response. The trick is ramping up the speed, and selling your actions with emphasis and body language to create an inappropriate response or sow the seeds of doubt.
-------------------
Another favorite of mine is the "Name Game" (can you tell I went to college in the 80s?).
Sit in a circle. The first person says a name - it has to be a person who is famous or infamous that anyone would or could know, not just "we all hang out with him", or "he was my paper boy" - however, it can be obscure, if you can back it up or somehow verify it, so long as it's part of the public domain.
The names used can be fictional or real names. "Han Solo" and "Harrison Ford" are both legitimate and separate answers. The names must also have first and last names - "Prince" and "Madonna" could not be used.
So... the first person says a name (George Bush), the next person in the circle has to come up with a name where the first name starts with the same letter as the last name of the previous name used (George Bush.... Bruce Lee... Leon Spinks.... etc).
If you come up with a name where the first and last name start with the same letter (Michael Moore), then the direction of the game changes, and instead of the person who is clockwise being next, it goes back to the previous person and continues counter-clockwise.
The drinking comes in like this - when the person before you says their name, you start drinking, and continue to drink until you come up with a name that can be justified.
You may not re-use names that have already been used, unless you can show they are distinct, different people (George H.W. Bush vs. George W. Bush, Kellen Winslow (former Chargers' tight end) vs. Kellen Winslow (jr, current Cleveland Browns tight end).
Coming up with last names that start with odd letter (Q, X, Y) really screws over the next person who must continue to imbibe until they can find a good response.

i like Fvck the Dealer and Drunk Driver:
F.T.D. - Pretty simple. Dealer starts off by asking the person to their left to pick a card between 2-A. As the person guesses, the dealer will then tell that person whether the card on top of the deck is higher or lower than what they picked. They then have a second guess to pick the right card. If they do not pick the correct card on the second try, they have to drink a sip (or number of seconds) that they are away from the correct card. For example, if on the second guess they person guessing says 9 and it is actually 7, then they drink 2. After 3 people in a row get it wrong, you pass the cards to your left and that person takes over as the dealer. You then go first and play continues clockwise. If the person guessing the cards guesses correctly on the first try, the dealer has to drink 10 (sips, or for 10 seconds) and if they get it right on the second try, the dealer drinks 5. It is always best to guess towards the middle of the deck to start (8 or 9) so you aren't stuck drinking more than you have to when guessing cards. You need to save that up for when you are dealer. Once a card has been guessed, it is placed face-up in order on a table, so people can see which cards have already been called. Once 4 of a kind have been laid on the table, those cards are flipped over as there is no need to guess them anymore. When you get towards the end, there will be 3 numbers left with cards still in the deck. The person choosing can not pick the middle number as this eliminates any game of chance.
D.D. - Many people have their own versions, but I've found this one to be the best. Start out by asking people one at a time in the circle to name a color (red or black). If the person chooses correctly, they get to hand out 1 drink. If they choose wrong, they have to drink 1. The card that each person chooses is given to them to hold on to. After each person has choosen a color (once), then they are asked to guess whether their next card is higher or lower than the one in their hand. Correct answers get to give out 1 drinks, wrong answers have to drink 2. If the card is the same number, the person guessing has to double up and drink 4. Round 3 commences by asking the people in order to guess whether or not their next card will fall in between the 2 cards they already have, or outside. For example, if someone has a 10 and a K, a J and Q would fall in between, while all other cards would fall outside. If the card is a 10 or a K, that person again drinks double. Round 4 is played the same way, this time with people guessing suits. Again, 4 drinks are handed out if the guess is correct, while wrong guesses require that person to drink 4 themselves. After round 4, each person should have 4 cards in front of them. Make a pyramid (6 or 7 rows). Start at the bottom and begin flipping cards over. There is no drinking involved in this section, however it is important to the game to establish the drunk driver. As the cards in the pyramid are flipped over, those with the same number or face cards want to get rid of them by giving them to someone else. If someone has two J's and a J is overturned on the pyramid, that person can toss both J's to whomever they wish, or may split them up and give them to different people. Those people then only have 1 more chance for that last J to come up before they are stuck with that card. At the end of the pyramid, the person who has the most cards is the Drunk Driver. This is where it gets interesting. All the cards are collected, and reshuffled. Each person (except the DD) is issued a card number (2,3,4 etc.) These people have to remember their number. 15 cards are dealt face down in a pile, and the rest of the cards are placed face down to the left of that pile. The dealer (who should remain the same throughout the whole game) then begins to overturn the top cards of the 15-card pile. The drunk driver then has to drink for each face card that comes up (1 drink for J, 2 for Q, 3 K and 4 A) and that number of cards is moved from the top of the left deck onto the 15-card pile. When a number card corresponding to the numbers that were handed out to the other players comes up, that person is "in the car" with the Drunk Driver and has to drink the number of drinks the DD does while in the car. Once their card comes up again, they are out of the car. Each player can be in the car a maximum of twice during the game (1 in, 1 out, 1 in, 1 out) but their stay in the car will vary in length by how long it takes for their card to come up again. The game ends when either the original 15-card pile has run out. If the DD is really unlucky, this could be the entire deck as each time a face card comes up, that number of cards is added from the left pile onto the 15-card pile. Theoretically, if the entire deck is run through the DD will have drank 40 times (4x4 + 4x3 + 4x2 +4x1).
Happy drinking!

Three man, It's a dice game that can really do the trick, also a**hole, a really fun card game. I would have to write a novel to explain them both, but I am sure you can find instructions for both on the WWW.

Quarters ... bouncing a quarter off the table into a glass. If you make it the person next to you drinks. If you miss you drink.

this was our fav college game, it's called "a dog and a couple of ducks". one person has to know all of the lines, and they start each round. basically you start with the first line, going around the circle every repeats the line. then you add a line each time around. it gets harder each time and if you mess it up at all you drink and start over until you get it right. here are the lines:
1. a dog
2. a dog and a couple of ducks
3. a dog, a couple of ducks and 3 brown bears
4. a dog, a couple of ducks, 3 brown bears and 4 foxy foxes f-ing
in a forest fire
5. a dog, a couple of ducks, 3 brown bears, 4 foxy foxes f-ing in a forest fire and 5 f-ing bi*ches f-ing mad every night
6. a dog, a couple of ducks, 3 brown bears, 4 foxy foxes f-ing in a forest fire, 5 f-ing bi*ches f-in mad every night and 6 simple simons shi**ing on a stump
7. a dog, a couple of ducks, 3 brown bears, 4 foxy foxes f-ing in a forest fire, 5 f-ing bi*ches f-ing mad every night, 6 simple simons shi**ing on a stump and 7 seasick sailors sailing over the 7 seas
8. a dog, a couple of ducks, 3 brown bears, 4 foxy foxes f-ing in a forest fire, 5 f-ing bi*ches f-ing mad every night, 6 simple simons shi**ing on a stump, 7 seasick sailors sailing over the 7 seas and 8 egotistical egotists easing in and out of eternity
9. a dog, a couple of ducks, 3 brown bears, 4 foxy foxes f-ing in a forest fire, 5 f-ing bi*ches f-ing mad every night, 6 simple simons shi**ing on a stump, 7 seasick sailors sailing over the 7 seas, 8 egotistical egotists easing in and out of eternity and 9 nibbling nibbling nibble-ons nibbling on nickels, knuckles and nicotine
10. a dog, a couple of ducks, 3 brown bears, 4 foxy foxes f-ing in a forest fire, 5 f-ing bi*ches f-ing mad every night, 6 simple simons shi**ing on a stump, 7 seasick sailors sailing over the 7 seas, 8 egotistical egotists easing in and out of eternity, 9 nibbling nibbling nibble-ons nibbling on nickels, knuckles and nicotine and 10 f-ing fig-pickers f-ing picking figs ain't gonna f-ing pick f-ing figs no f-ing more!
i am embarrassed to admit how much we cussed and yes, we were demented but it was college and it was a lot of fun!
