when i cough i have raised lumps on the left side of my neck.. what are they?

they have been there for a month now. also accompanied my left side throat pain when swallowing.

Those are swollen glands.
You have an infection.
Look into your mouth and notice your tonsils are swollen as well.

I had that a few months ago and thought it was the mumps but it was just my thyroid being all screwy. You need to go see your doctor and get some test done to make sure its nothing to serious. let me know how it goes
