Yes, it could have been an STD.
HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus)
Even with condom you can infected with Herpes. All it takes is skin-to-skin contact with a blisteror an open sore.
By touching it and then touching for aexample your arm, like you explained, you can spread it all over your body.
THERE IS NO CURE FOR HERPES.
Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the herpes simplex viruses type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2). Most genital herpes is caused by HSV-2. Most individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months after the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak. Although the infection can stay in the body indefinitely, the number of outbreaks tends to decrease over a period of years.
Nationwide, at least 45 million people ages 12 and older, or one out of five adolescents and adults, have had genital HSV infection.
Here's more information about HSV

But be sure to get tested for Herpes and other STD's.

Look I think you are overreacting and if you cannot find yourself a place in your room i think best bet is just to go to a dematologist and if he thinks its an STD he will point you to GYN direction. So far from what you saying it may be MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM ( bumps/lesions) or something like that.IIt can be transmitted skin to skin contact. As you say you always protected yourself so I doubt it is anything too serious like HIV, Syphilis, Ghonorrea, etc. It is obvious skin to skin contact with someone who was carrying some kind of funny infection. Now to calm you down and I know this for a fact STDs usually dont show such a serious symptoms. Thats is was known to be about STDs, most of the times it doesnt show until like months and years later. Some people dont find out until its unfortunately too late.
I am attaching this website i sometimes visit that is very user/reader friendly and is perfect for your personal investigation. Check it out.....it may freak you out while you read because you might think you can have each one of them but trust me everyone feels that way when they read info like that. My suggestion though go see dermo. Good luck.

It really does not sound like Herpes. Herpes is very painful, and I've never heard of it spreading to areas of the arms and ankles. It's hard to say without more information. Did you come in contact with posion ivy? Be aware of your body, if you have any more breakouts like this, see your doctor. A simple test can determine if it is Herpes or not.
Regarding using a condom everytime you have sex... good for you, you are smart. But not all STD's are contained with the use of a condom, especially HPV.

You should always get anything abnormal down there checked out. Even if it's not an STD, you can get a topical cream from a Dr. to help clear it up. Only a doctor can tell you for sure, so make an appointment if they come back.

Very possible it was an STD, even though the blsters have gone, you should have it checked out at a sexual health clinic. These things can hang around and you could end up passing it on yourself.

an std is somehting that you catch from comeone if you dont wear protection. me fella (im a woman byt the way) cant wear them as he has the same trouble- well, if he puts one on it'll rip. if yuo can wear them why not get the woman to wear a femidom. it does the same job as a condom but it fits nicely inside the woman instead. why dont you buy them incase your in a club and you pull and get her to wear it and explain to her you prob with condoms.
if you have a pernament partner why don you both get yourselves checked out at the clinic and have swobs done to see if any of you have anything. if your both clear then you should be safe to not use either protection(unless one cheats) but make sure if you arnt ready for kids to ask her to go docs and get advise on contraception such as jab or pill but rememebr there not 100% effective. i had my little girl from the pill.
