You need 2 grams of sodium or less a day. Instead of salt try garlic or pepper as seasoning when cooking (I think a teaspoon of salt has almost a gram of sodium). You can also check the nutritional facts of everything you eat and try to count the amount of sodium in them. Try that for at least a month and you will see the difference.

You should not add salt to any of your cooking, and stay away from foods that high sodium levels.
