I was just curious...given that I've been vegetarian all my life, and have become vegan recently...I was wondering what other people's reasons were as to what they do

Why I eat meat:

1. I love the taste. I particularly like the flavor of rare steak.

2. It's the single most efficient source of protein.

3. It's a natural product, unlike the highly refined & processed "vegetarian burgers", etc.

4. Meat doesn't make me bloat, as raw vegetables do.

5. Meat easily provides a beautiful main dish; a roast turkey or a crown roast is a magnificent centerpiece to the menu.

I'll bet I get thumbs down votes for the content of this posting, instead of thumbs down votes for lack of a pithy answer.

Moral reasons. Religious reasons. The fact that the idea of eating a dead animal repulses me.
