Just curious. I was diagnosed with it several years ago and I'm wondering if I have a tolerance to the discomfort. I also have Type II diabetes witch is added to the mix. Thanx all.

Thanks Flaming Sword. Is CFS and Fibromyalgia the same thing?

Wow diabetes as well as CFS is tough.

Some people are lucky enough to eventually get over CFS, but most people learn to live with it, by adjusting their life style to a level that they can function to some degree, this may mean working less hours (if they are able to), plan their day where they have a rest at some time through the day.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia are not the same condition, but the symptoms are similar and both overlap with many other conditions, such as MS, Lupus, Glandular fever etc. This is why CFS is hard to diagnose, and sadly some people are miss diagnosed, simply because some test were not done or done properly. Fibromyalgia is under umbrella of arthritis, due to the pain and pressure points.

Hi Jeanette E.

I have it. I've had it for over 12 years now it hasn't been a joyride by any means!! You have Type II diabetes? I have severe reactive hypoglycemia also. I've heard that 30 -35% of those with Fibromyalgia /Chronic Fatigue Syndrome go into remission and are able to move on with their lives. For my situation, I've found substantial help over the years with a Bio-feedback technician. That has been essencial for my improvement. Also massage has helped me greatly along with dietary changes. You may want to be checked for Candida also. Good luck and don't give up hope!!
