DO NOT GET AN IONIZER!. As another post said they can possibly hurt your lungs, at any rate they do not help if you have asthma or allergies. My family has your typical dust/mold allergies and all the different Dr's we have been to over the years say ionizers are BAD. We owned one at one time and we noticed no improvement in the air quality. Further we had to have our air tested due to a mildew problem in our attic and the air testing comapny echoed the same thing the Dr's say, no ionizers! All say a good HEPA air cleaner rated for the intended space is best.

get a high quality ionizer floor model..

they don't collect the garbage like the filter purifiers do and they're easy to clean and what they do is compact the filth in the air to the floor...

nothing that a vacuum can't take care of.

there's no moisture, no clogged filter to deal with... just electricity and the ionization of the air.. trapping the dust and stablizing it to lower surfaces.

this is supposed to be one of the best... pricey though...i believe consumer reports ranked them as # 1 or # 2. It is one of the quietest HEPA filters out there. You want a filter with HEPA and carbon - not ionizing particles.
