I have worked in med field so yes should know better...but
in past was stuck 2 times by needle at office....before the newer boxes to put used needles in..and regulations now in place
have had unprotected sex.....5 years ago...none that I know had std
have had couple of neg hiv test but also several years ago
Question is..I am too scared to be tested ...in a rural county it would be out in the public in no time IF was positive.
I have had NO symptoms whatsoever...none....my doctor tries to reassure me all the time that I don't have HIV, as does my gyn, gastro doc etc......am I being paranoid just being in the med field?

If the possibility of having HIV bothers you so much, why not go out of your county to get tested? Go to the nearest big city. Make it a day of shopping and leisure w/ a stop at a doctor's office for the test. At least then, you would know.
Also, check into home tests. I think they're available, but I'm not sure.
Best of luck to you!
