what are Italian traditional foods ?

I am going to Pisa next week. if anyone knows a good resturaunt or any good Italian food that is worth wasting money just tell me ;-)

I'm Italian ,living 20 miles away from Pisa.
Pisa has a lot of good small restaurants (trattoria and pizzeria) and it's not too expensive as Florence is.
Just stay away from the tourist routes (I've seen previous answer suggesting a bar close to the Leaning Tower). Stay away from there, just tourist meals (very bad) and tourist prices (very high). When you'll be in Pisa ask a student (Pisa has a renowned University and a few thousand students are always in its streets) where you can eat at a cheap price and tasty.
They will give you the best possible tips. However don't ask me for a list of dishes to eat. I know hundreds names but you'll forget them all. When you are in the trattoria (don't go to the big restaurants,not typical and too expensive) just ask the waiter,that in the majority of the cases is also the owner, which is their best food. He will be honored with yr trustful and you'll enjoy the best meal you've never tasted.

i been to pisa and i know a bar near there. here remember this- when going to the gate ( the one the front of the church is facing) look left and you will see these merchants and souvenir stands and there you will see the bar. they have an expresso machine. sandwiches and burgers, toilet and alcohol although children can go in... they also sell soda. oh and italian traditional food here is spaghetti. and do try the ice cream. they are quite cheap and good expecially the vanilla
