I have systolic hypertension and am on medicine for it....I check mine only once in a while IF I am feeling hyper (may be up then) or if have spells of dizziness....but other than that I don't worry over it
People with very high hypertension, hard to control and older we usually have then come in to office, even just to see the nurse for a bp check about once a month at no charge unless its up and have to see the doctor.
So really, it just depends on if yours runs high and if so how high.
Some patients have the machines and check theirs at home more regular but I wouldn't get addicted to using that every hour thats for sure....bp can raise or lower depending on the day and what you are doing.....hope this helps
