I just found out that I have Chlamydia--is it possible that I could get HIV too--can it be dormant for along time-before I can find out?--I am so worried I do not want to die,

You're probably overreacting. Chlamydia isn't serious if found soon enough. And its easily treated with an antibiotic. Unless you had an actual reason to think you had HIV I wouldn't stress about it...but get tested regularly anyway.

It is possible for anyone to get HIV if they have unprotected sex with a person infected with the virus. It sometimes takes years for HIV to turn into full blown AIDS. Chlamydia is cleared up easy enough, not to worry. But let me urge you to use protection so you won't catch anything else in the future. If you are that concerned, have your doctor, or local health clinic, check you for HIV.

Yes, its possible. Just see your physician and ask for an HIV test. HIV is very easily treated now a days and new drugs are coming on the market this year that will treat it better than any other out there yet. Good luck.
