I've been having this problem for about 5 years now, I feel like my nose is stuffy all the time and every season but it's stuffy in a place where I can't get it out by blowing my nose but SOMETIMES I can just swallow it, sometimes I feel I can't even talk because it gets so stuffy there, especially when I laugh, it's really bothering me and I went to the doctor and he said it MIGHT be just allergies and he would give me some medication if it didn't work then I will have to do some x-rays, well, the medications didn't work and I'm going to see the doc next week, but my question now is, what could this be?
thanks in advance!!

Most likely chronic sinusitis...I have it and treat a lot of people with it also. Try a simple over the counter medicine like Claritan (get the generic, much cheaper, same ingrediants). Also, what helps me is running a cool mist humidifier at night while I sleep. I know some people will warn of bacteria growth, etc. but I find it helps. Keeping my home cool also helps. A prescription nasal spray, Flonase, is also very popular but must be taken daily and will start to help a few days after the initial treatment. Hope this helps some!

You should get an allergy test, if you have allergies that are seasonal or all year round you can try different remedies like immunotherapy or allergy pills.
The other factor to consider is a deviated septum, meaning your nostril bone is bent towards one way in the front and in the back the opposite way. The surgery to correct this is called a septoplasty. or if you are a chicken like me you can use Afrin spray, i find its the only thing that can open up my nasal passage ways. The problem is the body becomes resistant to it. So you can't use it everyday. I use it about twice a week that's it. Two days is better than no days.
I am hesitant to do the surgery until I can find a good surgeon, the nose is a very delicate organ and the membrane can be damage very easily from over zealot surgeons.
Peace,

I had the same problem. They will probably treat you for allergies first. If that doesn't work they will probably get a CT scan. For me, I just needed my tonsils and adnoids taken out. You might want to go to a ear nose throat doctor if it doesn't go away. They really know what there doing.

could be allergies or could be chronic sinusitis. Hope it is allergies because chronic sinusitis really sucks.
