You can't get an STD by getting poked with a thumbtack unless there is blood on it, like if someone stuck themselves with it and made blood and then you stuck yourself with it, then you might get an STD, but who knows. I sure don't, and I readlly don't know tons and tons of info about STD's.

If someone else got poked with the same thumbtac before you, then you can worry about HIV, but other than that, unless there was blood on the tack.....you won't get an STD from it. You might consider getting a tetanis shot if you haven't had one in the last 10 years, just to be on the safe side. :)

No STDs unless there is blood contact. Maybe tetanus if it was rusty, just get a tetanus shot. thats all I can think of.

STD stands for sexually transmitted diseases,so unless you are having sex w/ a thumb tack you should be fine!

nice... LOL... you can't get STD's from a thumbtack... could get tetanus but not STD's so I believe the life expectancy is pretty good...

We have a winner! The most ridiculous post of the day!!!

Gee, they are called STDs because you get them from unprotected SEX, not thumbtacks.
