We are doing Pina Coladas or some cocktail with blue curacou for pre-dinner drinks and half a melon covered in foil with cocktail sticks of cheese and pinapple stuck in it. I'm going to serve 'a glass of orange juice' as the joke first starter and then prawn cocktail. not sure about main - lasagna? Then maybe peach melba? All ideas for party games afterwards/drinks/food etc most welcome.. Thanks.

The 80's were the start of Nouvelle Cuisine so you need a tiny bit of chicken or whatever and decorate flower petals and not forgetting the kiwi fruit - try looking at a book called Rude Food

Keep it light with finger foods and appetizers ONLY
Being it is a 80's theme....cans of "aqua net hairspray" spandix pants and lots of make-up...and now for the girls ! ha ha ha ha !
Make it a costume party....lip sync songs from the 80s and play trival pursuit like games...have VH1 on every TV set too !
