Best Party Sangria Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1 Bottle of red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, Zinfandel, Shiraz)
1 Lemon cut into wedges
1 Orange cut into wedges
1 Lime cut into wedges
2 Tbsp sugar
Splash of orange juice
2 Shots of gin
1 Cup of sliced strawberries or raspberries (may use thawed or frozen)
1 Small can of diced pineapples (with juice)
4 Cups ginger ale
PREPARATION:
Pour wine in the pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon, orange and lime into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and pineapple then add sugar, orange juice and gin.
Chill overnight. Add ginger ale, berries and ice just before serving. If you'd like to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over lots of ice. However, remember that the best Sangrias are chilled around 24 hours in the frig. - allowing the flavors to really marinate into each other.

I always make a very large batch of this because it goes so fast! . I am famous for making this, everyone always asks me to bring my version of sangria to parties and I always have it at my own. Everyone loves it, especially the girls and it really gets you drunk ..fast!
2 bottles of Cabernet or red of your choice (shiraz works well too)
1 bottle white wine of your choice--i usually go with a sweet one
about 2 cups peach schnapps
2 frozen juice cylinders(like mixed berry or mango)
3 cut up granny smith apples
3 sliced oranges(squeeze them when you put them in)
1bag frozen strawberries
1 bag frozen peaches or mango
1 bottle champagne
I get a large jug(i bought a giant pretzel holder from bed bath and beyond and it is my sangria jug)cut up the apples and oranges and put in the bottom, then i add all the wine, schnapps, frozen juices and mix until the juice isn't frozen anymore. Then i add the frozen fruit and taste to see if it needs any sugar. I usually never add more than a cup. right before the guests arrive i put the champagne in--I wait until the last minute so the bubbles stay nice. I like to mix it up at least 2 hours before the party so it blends together really nice, just make sure you stir before you serve and get the fruit in every ones glass too.

Sangria Recipe
I have been making sangria for 20 years at Charley's Bar in Southern Spain. It is one of the most popular drinks here between tourists and residents alike.
You can find my sangria recipe below and also some other Recipes of drinks popular in Spain.
Sangria is typically a mix of red wine, spirits, Casera/Lemonade and fresh fruits, served over ice. There are numerious variations and every restaurant has it's own recipie. Sangria is great at parties, barbeques and on the beach. Have fun creating your own, start off with my sangria recipe and if you feel you can impove it to suit your own taste, go ahead.
Sangria's appeal is all about taking your favorite red wine, your favorite fruits, and experimenting with them. Sangria is typically created from red wine, fruit juices, casera (sprite,7 up), fruit and spirits. When making your own Sangria, you can use a good quality red wine or a cheaper one. Personally I would use a cheaper wine not waste an expensive one in a mix. The choice is yours, you're the one drinking it!
There are 2 type's of Sangria, red and white. Red is the most popular. Charley's Bar is situated on the Costa del Sol in Southern Spain, here is our recipe.
Sangria Recipe
Half fill a 1 litre jug with ice
Add chopped or sliced fruit : Orange, Lemon, Apple
Add a tablespoon of sugar
Now for the booze
Add 3 long dashes of: Bacardi, Cointreau and Brandy
Half or 3/4 fill the jug with Red Wine
Add a long dash of Orange Juice
Top with La Casera, Lemonade, Sprite or 7 up
Give it a good stir and serve.
Some recipes I've seen recommend that you chill it overnight??
I recommend that you drink it straight away!!
White Sangria Recipe
Basically White Sangria is the same as Red Sangria but you replace the red wine with white wine and leave out the orange juice.
Here's some recipes for other popular Spanish drinks.
Tinto de Verano Recipe
This drink is perfect for hot summer days and nights. In fact Tinto de Verano means "summer red wine" It's very similar to Sangria but without the spirits. You would normally make this by the glass.
Fill a Highball (Long) glass with ice.
Add a slice of lemon.
Half fill with Red Wine.
Top with La Casera which is used in Spain but you can also use 7 up, Sprite or Lemonade.
Another variation is to top with Fanta Lemon.
Lumumba Recipe
This drink is great for cold winter nights or if you're feeling under the weather. Pour a measure of brandy in a heat resistant glass.
Top with hot chocolate milk.
Disclaimer : I can not be held responsible for any circumstances arising from drinking the above Enjoy!!

Are you making them individually or as a punch?
Per glass; 4 oz. red wine, 2 oz. sprite, orange and lime wedge and a cherry maybe pineapple. For a punch just use the same parts with some OJ.

I have soooooo many Sangria recipes! I absolutely love 'em! Below are some of my faves.
Spicy Sangria (this rocks with Mexican food)

1 Lime cut into wedges

PREPARATION:
Pour wine in the pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lime, lemon and orange into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and add sugar, Rum and hot sauce to the mix. Chill overnight. Add citrus soda or club soda just before serving. If you'd like to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over lots of ice.

If you'd like to serve your Sangria right away, use chilled white wine and club soda and serve over lots of ice.
Addition ideas: sliced strawberries, a handful of fresh blackberries, banana slices, a half cup of citrus soda pop.
I have many more... So if these don't work ask again! Enjoy!
