I have a pomegranate and want to eat its seeds. Do I cut down through the centre of its "stem", or across its "equator"?

Martha Stewart takes a small knife and cuts around the equator, cutting only the outer skin. Then she pulls it apart in two halves, turns it upside down over a bowl and wacks it with the back of a spoon until all the seeds fall out, mess free.

u need to cut it across the equator and gently tap the upper portion of the hemisphere with a ladle or something on the likes of it..the seeds come out neatly without much strain

Hi. I think the best way is to cut it down vertically. Starting from the stern insert your knife and cut downwards until you reach the bottom, then keep your knife cutting along the bottom and then up again until reaching the stern again from the opposite side where you began-

accross its equator then after doing that take a wooden spoon and keep tapping the back of it and all the seeds will fall out....neat huh
