Wow, that's awesome. I've always wanted to do that. Well, I suggest making everyone dress up in Victorian-Style clothing, 1830-1900. Oh, and fake moustaches, monocles, and top hats. Also, buy a Shirlock hat. Assign roles to everybody. Roles could be:

The Detective
Butler Edgar
Maid
Corpse (obviously)
Lord Vandemere
Lady Vandemere
Town Crier
Wallace The Groudskeeper
The Dutchess
Three Cooks
And so on...

Good luck! I hope you have fun at your party!

That sounds like a fantastic idea! You should serve finger foods. Cheese, crackers, chips, rolled lunch meats. That's easy stuff, if you want to go more out you can serve mini Smokey links in a blanket. You make them with mini Smokey links and you use the dough of croissants instead of biscuits. They are really yummy and quick.

You can also look into catering. I know Chick-fil-a and Chipolte has a really cheap party platter and it will probably be less money than you would pay buying a whole bunch of different things.

Keep the temperature and lights low...use candles whenever possible. Check with your local high school and see if, for a donation or for hire, you can enlist the drama club to help out. Keep the food simple because people can't really sit down to eat while "playing" their parts so try serving your favorite finger foods for ease of consumption. Have a great time!

If you can get to a party store, there are lots of candy/jello molds out there (might be hard to find after Halloween) in the shape of body parts. (brain, fingers, etc) Also, try orientaltrading.com -- they have lots of Halloween stuff. Anyway, make the food in the shape of body parts. Any spaghetti sauce (blood) and spaghetti. Cut the garlic bread into tombstones (add your friends names to them). Peel the grapes and place them in a bowl -- really hard to pick up and you can label the bowl 'eyeballs'. The list can go on and on. Any more ideas needed, drop me an email. HAVE FUN!!!!

Try arsenic, cyanide, lithium compounds, large amounts of cocaine, barbiturates, plutonium, ground glass, laurel leaves, laburnum seeds, need I go on? If these don't work, try fire arms.

Surprise your guests with a real corpse.

They'll never forget that one.
