I've always wondered this. I don't smoke, I just always thought that, smoke is smoke. And if your lungs are already used to smoking, then you wouldn't cough. Is that true?

Everyone is different, but i can tell you that you cannot start smoking cigarettes w/o coughing. You just can't not cough. I am assuming that someone inhales. It takes a while for the lungs to get used to cigarette smoke and coughing is something that cannot be avoided. How much you cough is determinrd by the person, not IF.

We are use to hearing all the toxic ingredients in tobacco and how natural the marijuana is, both marijuana and and cigarettes are bad. Wen you smoke marijuana you don't have a filter and you keep the smoke in your lungs longer than when smoking cigarettes. The answer is you probably won't cough.

If the vast majority of cigarette smokers wish they had never started and would quit if the addiction wasn't so bad , why would you even consider smoking tobacco? I'm down to 2 packs a week and have tried quitting many times.

Yes because tobacco is a different chemical compound which will irritate your lungs. You should not start smoking cigarettes because it is addictive and pot is not.

The majority of people that use cannabis/marijuana/pot whatever you choose to call it will miix it with tobacco. So they will be used to breathing in smoke into their lungs, so are unlikely to have a major coughing fit.

They can develop cancer with either substance.

Why worry about cancer and coughing when you have already filled your brain cells with Tetrahydrocannabinal that has made its nest in your brain cells? Smoke is smoke but pot has that extra THC benefit other than cancer and coughing.

Sounds like lung cancer to me...

Just kidding! There are different irritants in tobacco. But truly, if you want no regrets when you are in your 50s (when most diseases start from bad youthful decisions), don't smoke anything at all.
