i would steer towards anxiety attacks hence the phrase when someones scared my heart jumped into my throat. anxiety and stress have many forms mostly in youre chest and worrying doesnt help see a doctor and tell him all the symptoms you can think of good luck!

Yes I get that same feeling in my throat sometimes but I do not have an irregular heartbeat. An irregular heartbeat is called a heart murmur, and my little sister has had it since she was born. You might want to see a doctor because it can be something serious.

Are you on any kind of medication? I had irregular heatbeat and rapid heartbeats when i was taking some anti-depressants once, but even things like cold medications can cause it. Sometimes just stress can cause it, a stress attack can feel like a heart attack if it comes on strong enough.

My entire family has this, but they can't figure out what it is. So far no one has any heart disease so the docs say don't worry. So we don't. But it worried them at first and you should get it checked out. Sometimes it could be serious.
