I went to my cardiologist today and he found out why I am having problems with my heart rate. He said I have two natural pacemakers, or SA nodes in my heart. I am going to have an ablasion done to get rid of the one that is not supposed to be there and my doc said this was a rare condition. I can't find any info about it on the internet and I was wondering if this is something you are born with or if it just happens. If anyone knows the answer to my question or a site I can find out more about my condition on I would be very thankful!

I don't have an answer for you, but I've never seen that before - it's a rare condition, to say the least. Do you really have two SA nodes, or just two pacemakers (it's much more common to have a small clump of tissue acting as a pacemaker that is not a SA node).
To have a duplicate SA node would have to be congenital, I can't think of a way it would grow after birth by itself, but the best person to talk to would be your electrophysiologist (the cardiologist who's going to do the ablataion).

I believe it can occur either way. I work with someone who had the same thing, she had an ablation and is totally fine now. Her heart rate would go up to near 200! After the ablation. no further problems. Have you tried Mayo Clinic? Try looking under WPW syndrome=may not be what you have but it's probably similar in how its treated. Look under arrythmias, or tachyarrythmia's. Good luck to you, you should be fine. I would even call your doctor's office, and ask them for more info, or what exactly the name is. They might have some info to give you, or a specific place where you can look.

Hayley,

The reason that it is probably not online is because it is "rare", I think that the best way of getting information on it, would be contacting your doctors office and asking for more information, there are plenty of people on here that can give you the wrong answer, espcially when dealing with a medical problem, I would reccomend talking to the doctor.

it quite is been properly documented that the tapes of the communique between Symonds and Harbhajan weren't sparkling. that's probably going certainly one of the excuses the court desperate to evaluate Sachin's opinion on that rely. And interior the top it become the court which stumbled on Harbhajan Singh to be no longer in charge. Now if somebody claims that he or she has completed a bigger examine than the government and is conscious the genuinely "reality" then that's utter BS. As TJ summed it up in his answer, in an prolonged time Symonds participated in an Indian fact prepare and performed plenty interior the IPL. interior the top all I ought to assert is that the Sydney fiasco become unlucky. and that i think of we ought to constantly all in basic terms circulate on now. The Indo-Aussie opposition sells like hotcakes and that's substantial for the survival of try cricket. you possibly can in basic terms desire that the two the communities play interior the spirit of the sport interior the destiny.

look up "right ventricular outflow tract tachycardia" and see if that sounds familiar. even if it is not the same, it is similar, and is treated with ablation. you should be able to find out lots of information about ablation in relation to that condition. i have had two ablations, and they are not too bad, although mine were unsuccessful. good luck.
