Some people do and call themselves "vegetarians" but they're not a true veggie. VEGETARIANS EAT NOTHING THAT HAD A MOTHER. Or you could say they we eat nothing that had/has eyes except a potato.

No, I dont eat any animals, and the last time I checked, sea animals were just as much animals and land ones. Unfortunately there is a group of people who call themselves vegetarian just because they omit certain meats from their diet. It ios just a few people trying to pat themselves on he back for something that they're arent even comited to.

There are different classifications of vegetarians. A vegan doesn't eat any animal products or use animal products--to varying degrees (most don't eat honey or use leather or other animal by-products). A lacto-ovo vegetarian eats dairy and eggs. A lacto-vegetarian eats dairy but not eggs, and I guess a ovo-vegetarian would not eat dairy but eat eggs, but I am not sure how common this is. And, yes, there are some people who call themselves vegetarians, but they may eat fish every once in a while, and some call themselves vegetarians and just avoid red meat--so they eat some chicken and fish every once in a while. Technically speaking, they aren't really, truly "vegetarian," but it has become common and popular to still call them vegetarians--for some reason. Pure vegetarianism would not include those who still eat chicken or fish.

NO! Vegetarians do not eat dead animals...period. Many people get confused about this. Fish has flesh and flesh is meat.

No. Fish are not vegetables.
Pescatarians can, but pescatarians are not a variety of vegetarians, despite what some people think. They are smething entirely different.

You can--- but you won't be a vegetarian. A fish is an animal too--- so vegetarians don't eat any dead (or living) animals, including shrimps and lobsters and clams and bugs.

why do so many people ask this?
No fish do not grow in the ground, they do not have leaves or roots, They do have flesh so why would you think them a vegetable?
