I've heard of different options for removing genital warts- freezing, various creams, surgery, etc. Of the options, how painful are they and are there any that one would reccomend over another?

burning/freezing is very painful... and may not take care of it. laser surgery took care of it and I have not had an outbreak or recurrence in over 15 years! one stupid night...ugh...(hang my head in shame)

Warts are a virus and can infest any part of your body, especially if you have a weak immune system. I have had warts on my elbows, knees, feet and hands. I was put on a form of steroids and they all cleared up. (Except the ones on my feet, I had to have surgery) Anyway, ask your doctor, about meds instead of cream, biopsy, or surgery. Good luck!

burning and freezing are supposed to be the most painful. That is the most sensitive area on your body and i had to watch a movie when i was in school of what it looks like. after they were removed the womens vagina looked black and she had to be catheritized because she could not pee over the scabs because it hurt so bad. all she could do was sit there and cry. please be careful if you have an STD dont spread it. you should try the creams if that is an option for you! good luck
