There are 5 different answers to this question :
1. The vena cavae (superior and inferior ) returns deoxygenated blood from all over the body to the right atrial cavity of the heart.
2.The pulmanary veins return oxygenated blood from the lungs to the Left atrial cavity of the heart.
3.The coronary arteries carries blood from the aorta to the muscles of the heart.
4.The coronary sinus returns the blood from the heart muscles to the Right atrial cavity of the heart.
5. The Thebesian veins emptY the blood from the lungs and mediastinum to different chambers of the heart.
THIS IS THE COMPLETE LIST.

Mrs Z is on the money - Coronary Arteries (a), but that depends on the question! So the answer could be veins (b) such as the vena cava, coronary sinus and the pulmonary veins.
(a) If its the heart's own blood supply then its the Coronary Arteries the first supply to come off of the trunk of the aorta, just after the aortic valve, provides the blood for the heart. The supply is only provided once the heart has stopped contracting and the pressure has lowered as the opening is in the sinus of valsalva just behind the valve.
Interestingly this circulation is called vaso vasorum and can be seen elsewhere in the large arteries around the body as, like the heart, to allow for the muscle, etc to work it needs a blood supply like the rest of the body!
(b) If its blood to the heart from the circulatory system then the answer is veins with the blood returning from the body via the vena cava to the right atrium, the blood returning from the lungs via the pulmonary veins to the left atrium and the blood returning from the heart’s own circulation (Coronary Arteries) via the Coronary Sinus to the right atrium.
So its a question with two answers then.......... :-)

The vessels which carry blood to the heart are what most people have said, the coronary arteries.
There are three main coronary arteries with smaller arteries branching off. The first is the right coronary artery (RCA). The left coronary artery starts as one artery called the left main stem (LMS) and branches into the two main left arteries, the left anterior descending (LAD) and the circumflex (Cx). Other arteries branch off the LAD and Cx such as the diagonals and marginals.
When a person has a cornary angiogram the doctor will assess each of these arteries to see if there are any narrowings or blockages present.
If the answer you require is the actual blood vessels that return blood to the heart then the deoxygenated blood from the body and head enter the right atrium via the inferior and superior vena cava. The blood is then pushed into the right ventricle and goes to the lungs via the pulmonary artery. It is then oxygenated and returns to the left atrium via the pulmonary veins. The blood is then pushed into the left ventricle and pumped round the body via the aorta

they are the superior and inferior Vena Cava. Their the main vain that connects into the right atrium of the heart.
The best way I found to remember which vessels do which, Artery = Away... Veins are toward (TV = TOWARDS/VEIN).
The pulmonary artery/vein also move blood to and from the heart, going into and out of the lungs.
why do you ask?

The blood vessels that deliver blood to your heart muscle are the coronary arteries. They are called the coronary arteries because they encircle and sit on the surface of your heart like a crown. The word coronary means crown.

Arteries carry oxygen - rich blood to the organs of the body and veins return the oxygen- depleted blood back to the heart which then sends it back to the lungs for re-oxygenation. Arteries become progressively smaller as they leave the heart (think of the trunk of a tree extending out to become branches and then twigs), veins become larger as they return to the heart (twigs to branches to trunk). The largest veins returning blood to the heart are the inferior and superior vena cava

Arteries carry oxygen-rich blood from your heart to the tissues and organs. Veins carry the oxygen-poor blood back to your heart.
