yes it is body fluid.I would be too afraid to take the chance if someone had been honest with me.I think I would call a nurse line and ask a doctor or a nurse if it is or not.

There's NO way you can directly pass HIV through saliva. The virus is blood-borne. If the saliva has BLOOD in it, you can pass it through if you happen to ingest the blood or it gets into a cut in your mouth or something, but your saliva itself contains amounts of the HIV virus too small to infect you. You can "make out" with someone all you want if they're HIV positive and as long as you don't get any blood passing between your mouths you should be fine.

No, HIV cannot be passed through saliva. Saliva has strong enzymes that inhibit the HIV virus from being infectious, they kill it. and even if it is present is has been found in such small amounts that it is not enough to infect. The only way you can get HIV from saliva is if there is an open wound in the persons mouth, meaning they are bleeding while you kiss them. and i for one would not want to kiss someone with a bloody mouth.

Saliva is considerably less infectious than blood, as far as HIV goes.
Check out the CDC for the most up to date info about HIV. The World Health Organization also has lots of info.
In reality, the HIV virus is fragile. It can't tolerate variances in temperature of more than 1 or 2 degrees above or below normal body temperature, it can't tolerate dehydration or exposure to air, and it is easily killed by alcohol on surfaces (or in the mouth).
In addition, it's been discovered that some people are immune to it (a recent finding), and that circumcised men are less likely to harbor the virus.

Yes it can be passed through saliva, only if the person has trace amounts of blood in it though.

it's very unlikely, unless the person you kissed definitely has AIDS and had an big open cut in their mouth.
