If the part of the brain that is responsible for sexual arousal and interest was affected in the stroke, than a patient's interest and or ability to perform could be changed.

What is healthy is what the partners have agreed to. Sexual activity is in constant flux throughout the duration of relationships. The committed parties need to determine their own needs and the needs of their partner. Once that has been established, one can figure out if having sex is pleasurable and enjoyable or not for both parties involved.
