How long will it take to get rid of this stupid dry nasty cough? I am tired of coughing and feeling tired.

It could take a LONG time to get totally over the cough. But on the bright side, coughing is good for you- its getting your lungs clean. it can be a major pain though, i know.
If the cough doesn't improve though, or you show other signs of worsening illness contact your doctor again

It is going to take a few weeks to feel better, at least. You might try a humidifier to help with the cough. i wouldn't spend the extra money to get the steam one, the water turns from steam to cold so fast I just don't see the benefit.

It usually takes the cough a long time to go away. Try teas with honey and lemon in them to moisten your throat. I like peppermint or chamomile when I am sick.

i had pnemonia and it took me 2 whole weeks to get rid of the cough
