How would i ground egusi (melon seed)? I know that it can be bought already grounded but is mixed with vegetable oil and I'm a bit health conscious so i wanted it without any oil. If anyone can help me out on how the grounding process works with egusi or any seed please help me out

Much much appreciated thanks all:-)

A coffee grinder or blender is fine for grinding such type of seed, crisp or well dried seed gives the best powdery result, adding liquid will give you a paste rather than a dry powder, which i think is what you want.

I've never tried to grind egusi, but I have ground flax seeds. You can use a coffee grinder for many types of seeds. In the case of flax, it's better to grind the seeds just before using them so they retain all their nutrition. You can find coffee bean grinders at kitchen stores. Good luck.

you heat a pan in the oven, put the seeds for 2 or 3 mins till they start to get brown. remove them from the oven and let them cool down.

Then you just put it in a blender, push the button and you have it grounded.
