there's a new customer in town that want us to prepare tomorrow morning a special diabetic breakfast ...can anyone tell me how?

A diabetic breakfast is the same as any other breakfast. It may depend on whether thay are Type 1 or 2 though. Type 1 could have toast and fruit and other carbs and take care of it with insulin, a Type 2 person may not want the carbs so that would be Eggs and breakfast meat.

Karen gave the best answer. You can also add a non-caloric sweetener like Equal and diet jam/syrup to his order, so he can use these items if he wants. Most Type 1's have no problem using regular jam etc., but many Type 2's who are diet controlled need to use diet products in order to stay in range.

Each diabetic is different so give them the options to make their own choices best suited to their needs.

You can also ask if they would like a diet orange juice type drink. Minute Maid makes one.

Some Type 2 (mostly) diabetics also restrict carbs, and may request a largely protein based meal. They often also need a low fat meal. You can give them lean bacon, Egg Beaters eggs/scrambled eggs with skim milk, and one piece of whole wheat toast, butter on the side.

Oatmeal or cold cereal like Bran Flakes and skim milk is also good. An apple for fruit is fine.

However, some diabetics have kidney disease, and cannot eat large amounts of protein. Tell them what you have and always ask what they need.

First, I have to say that there is really no special "diabetic diet". People with diabetes should eat healthy and restrict high fats and simple carbohydrates (like everybody else!). With that said, a "special" breakfast would be something like an egg beaters omelette with veggies, low-fat cheese and salsa, whole grain toast or whole grain pancakes, coffee or tea with sweetener, fruit (not juice). Having low-sugar spreads or low-sugar syrup is always a good idea, as well as serving condiments like butter on the side. : ) Type II diabetics will probably choose fewer carbs, depending on their carb allotment for breakfast.

well the key to a diabetic meal is that it be high in protein, low in carbs, and best no refined sugar.
So...
an omelet loaded with veggies and cheese with ham or bacon on the side, along with a whole wheat piece of toast sounds about right to me, though I am not diabetic.

Regular Bacon, (no pea meal,No sugar or maple cured}Eggs,and one slice of "whole wheat toast with butter.No juice.Coffee-tea with cream and sweetener.Sugar free jam.Extra bacon or egg o k.
